Extra Celestial — Brand Guideline Version 2.0
Case Study № 01 / Inspired by Pinterest Predicts 2026

Extra
Celestial

A generation romanticizing life beyond Earth. An AI editorial study of how humanity aestheticizes intergalactic living through atmosphere, ritual, hospitality, and AI-native creative direction.

01 / Brand Essence

A generation
romanticizing life
beyond Earth.

Core idea

Extra Celestial is a speculative luxury civilization where humanity has entered its celestial era. Not aliens. Not post-human distance. Humans — adapting elegance, ritual, and hospitality to a life lived among the stars.

Emotional positioning

Wonder. Aspiration. Cosmic intimacy. Futuristic leisure. Where most space-coded aesthetics perform isolation or spectacle, this one performs arrival — the moment a generation steps into a life it has imagined into existence. Calm, inhabited, atmospheric. Cool in temperature, warm in feeling.

World statement

A generation romanticizing life beyond Earth. Where human ritual meets cosmic atmosphere. Where technology behaves like climate — not gadgetry.

The lane

Extra Celestial sits inside a broader practice — premium lifestyle experience design across Fashion, Hospitality, Wellness, and Travel. The civilization extends across all four. Each industry inhabits the world differently: fashion is how the body adapts; hospitality is how the body rests; wellness is how the body restores; travel is how the body arrives.

02 / The Civilization

Technology behaves
like climate, not
like gadgetry.

Extra Celestial is a functioning atmospheric civilization. Not a sci-fi fantasy. Not cyberpunk. Not dystopian. The civilization expresses itself through hospitality, wellness, transit, and leisure — surfaces designed for human inhabitation in expansive environments.

The civilization's expressions

Celestial Hospitality

Orbital lounges and atmospheric hotel arrivals. The hospitality vocabulary of Aman, of Six Senses, of Amankora — reimagined for environments where the horizon is a planet.

Orbital Wellness

Spas designed for zero-friction restoration. Reflective hydrotherapy pools. Water that holds the room's light. Ritual, not technology.

Atmospheric Transit

Cosmic transit lounges that feel like museums. Soft chrome floors. Cobalt ambient lighting. The journey reframed as a held moment, not a friction.

Cosmic Leisure

The rituals humans bring with them when they leave Earth — bathing, dressing, dining, gathering — performed in environments built to honor them.

The new human layer

V2 introduces what V1 left out: traces of life. Two figures sharing a lounge. Emotional warmth. Atmospheric intimacy. Inhabited environments. Human ritual. The world feels lived in — not empty, not observed, not distant.

03 / Creative Direction

The rules of
the world.

Visual DNA

Inhabited atmosphere. Cinematic restraint. Reflective architecture catching cobalt light. Humans moving through spaces designed at the scale of weather. The viewer feels invited in, not outside looking on.

Lighting direction

Cinematic cobalt as the dominant atmospheric key, lifted by pale lilac or warm peach rim light. Lighting falls like first morning through a stratosphere. Soft directional fills. No hard fashion-flash. Light feels like climate, not equipment.

Architectural language

Curved chrome corridors. Reflective floors that hold the room's light. Walls of soft drape iridescent fabric. Wide horizons inside enclosed spaces. Architecture that supports the human, never overwhelms her. Aman scale, celestial atmosphere.

Material vocabulary

Brushed chrome. Liquid mercury. Mother-of-pearl. Iced silk. Stone polished smooth. Cream and oat linen. Resin embedded with mica. Holographic vinyl — matte, never plastic-bright. Hospitality materials with a celestial register.

Beauty direction

Moon-dust eyes. Soft dewy skin with iridescent highlight. Hair worn slicked back or in soft architectural shapes. Beauty as ritual rather than spectacle — the practiced morning of someone who lives this life, not the editorial of someone visiting it.

Environmental atmosphere

Wide, breathable interior space. Hospitality-coded environments. A figure at the cobalt observatory at dawn. Two figures in the iridescent lounge. A lone subject in the chrome corridor of a transit hub. The architecture holds the subject the way a room holds a candle.

04 / Editorial Tone

How the work
should feel.

Aspirational calm. The visuals produce the sensation of being shown a way of life that is already real — somewhere just past the present moment. Cool atmosphere, warm humanity. The discipline of a luxury hospitality campaign that happens to be set among the stars.

Pacing & composition

Slow. Generous space. Environments shot wide; subjects often small inside them, dwarfed gently by architecture. Single subjects or quiet pairs. The work reads like film stills from a luxury travel documentary directed by a science-fiction romantic.

Photography references

The atmospheric stillness of Aman resort photography. The architectural calm of Kerry Hill and John Pawson interiors. The cosmic restraint of Iwan Baan's architectural work. The interior-as-character framing of Lost in Translation. The held quiet of Her.

Hospitality reference

Aman Tokyo's lobby restraint. Amankora's wabi-sabi quietness. Six Senses Bhutan's reverence for landscape. Soho House Rome's lived-in luxury. All transposed: instead of jungle, instead of mountain — the horizon of a planet.

Film & cultural references

Her (Jonze) — for warm futurism and inhabited tech. Lost in Translation — for the cinematic lounge. 2001 — for the cobalt corridor, but warmed. Arrival — for the pacing of awe. Annihilation — only for the iridescent biome. Aman Resorts brand films — for the entire hospitality register.

05 / Typography

One serif that
behaves like sculpture.

One serif that behaves like sculpture. One sans that behaves like a system. One mono that acts as archival metadata. The page is always quieter than the image. Type frames, never competes.

Hierarchy logic

The page is always quieter than the image. Type never competes — it frames. Serif italic is the only italic in the entire system. Use it as punctuation, not decoration: maximum three across any single piece of work.

06 / Color Language

Two modes inside
the same world.

Extra Celestial operates in two color modes: Cobalt (the atmospheric register — vacuum, signal, chrome) and Iridescent (the dawn register — pearl, lilac, refraction). Both share a single warm pulse. The rule of one accent per spread holds across both modes.

Cobalt Mode — The Observatory & The Lounge

Vacuum Black
#0A0B10
The atmospheric canvas. Sky after the planet sets. Stillness, weight, scale.
Cobalt Signal
#1A2EC4
The cinematic atmospheric key. Climate as light. Distance, expansion.
Chrome Mist
#B8C4D6
Reflective neutral. Architecture, surface, material. Hospitality vocabulary.
Visor White
#EAF0FF
The signature light. Primary type on dark ground. The arrival glow.
Aurora Pulse
#D9A8C4
The only warmth. One accent per spread, maximum. Cosmic intimacy.

Use logic — Cobalt mode

Vacuum Black and Cobalt Signal carry 70% of any composition. Visor White and Chrome Mist live on subjects, surfaces, and architecture. Aurora Pulse is rationed — one image in five, one word in a hundred. Its scarcity is what makes the world feel inhabited rather than performed.

Iridescent Mode — The Pastoral & The Spa

The dawn register. Lighter atmosphere. Used when the work shifts from the architecture of arrival into the rituals of restoration — the wellness spa, the pastoral biome, the soft refraction of a morning after.

Pearl Ground
#F8FAFF
The canvas. Soft, atmospheric, dawn-after-cobalt-night.
Iridescent Lilac
#C8B8E0
The atmospheric mid-tone. Soft signal. Wellness register.
Iridescent Mint
#B8E0D2
Surface reflection. Hydrotherapy pool. Cool counterweight.
Iridescent Peach
#F0D4C0
The warmth in the refraction. Skin tone. Hospitality glow.
Iridescent Azure
#A8C8E8
Depth. The distant horizon after the cobalt has lifted.
07 / The Three Chapters

Three moments
in a celestial life.

Extra Celestial unfolds across three editorial chapters. Each is a moment in the rhythm of inhabiting this civilization — arrival (Cobalt Observatory), ritual (Celestial Beauty), restoration (Iridescent Pastoral). Together they form a day in a life lived among the stars.

Chapter 01

The Cobalt Observatory

Arrival. The first morning of a celestial life.

World

An atmospheric arrival hall. Wide horizon visible through a chrome-framed window. The cobalt sky bleeding into the polished floor. Architecture at the scale of weather.

Subject

A single human figure or quiet pair, dwarfed gently by the architecture. Standing, seated, walking — the choreography of someone who lives here. Not posing. Existing.

Material

Brushed chrome architecture. Soft cream and oat linen on the body. Liquid silver silk catching cobalt light. Hair worn natural, slicked back, or in soft architectural shapes.

Energy

Aspirational calm. Inhabited stillness. The viewer feels invited into a life already in progress. Cool atmosphere, warm humanity.

Chapter 02

Celestial Beauty Rituals

The practiced morning of someone who lives this life.

World

The intimate interior. A mirror in a chrome bathroom. The morning ritual of dressing the face for cosmic atmosphere. Macro intimacy at human scale.

Subject

Hands applying iridescent product. A face caught mid-ritual. Moon-dust eyeshadow drawn across an eyelid. The beauty as ritual, not as performance.

Material

Iridescent skin product on glass. Mother-of-pearl compacts. Soft chrome mirror surfaces. The textures of practiced morning.

Energy

Quiet, held, practiced. The work of belonging to a place. The dignity of preparation. Closer than the viewer expected to be allowed — into someone's actual life.

Chapter 03

The Iridescent Pastoral

The wellness spa at dawn. The horse in the field. Restoration.

World

A pastoral counter-environment. The orbital spa courtyard. A field of soft grasses with a horse in the distance. Pastel atmosphere. Dawn after the cobalt night.

Subject

A figure in soft iridescent dress. A swimmer at the edge of a hydrotherapy pool. Two figures in slow conversation. The white horse in the distance — the organic anchor.

Material

Prismatic refraction across skin and dress. Glitter-dust silver fabric. Still water holding the room's light. The pastoral surface of restoration.

Energy

Released. Softer. The exhale. The civilization at rest. The day ends warmer than it began.

08 / AI Direction Philosophy

Curation over
generation.

AI is treated as a collaborator with a worldview, not a generator. The role of human direction is to give the machine a climate, then judge what comes back.

Curation over generation

For every fifty outputs, one is selected. The work is in the eye, not the prompt. The discipline is killing beautiful images that do not answer to the civilization.

Prompting as travel writing

Prompts are written like the opening paragraph of a luxury travel piece — what the light is doing, what the air is made of, what the architecture invites — not as feature lists. The machine responds to atmosphere better than it responds to adjectives.

Composition as discipline

Outputs are framed, cropped, and re-staged after generation. The AI proposes; the art direction decides. Nothing is published raw.

The system is closed

Every image must answer to the same six rules: cobalt or iridescent atmospheric key, human-centered, architectural context, restrained luxury, emotional stillness, material realism. If an image breaks a rule, it is killed — even if it is beautiful. Especially then.

Transparency as aesthetic

Tools are named (Midjourney, Ideogram, Higgsfield, Runway) the way a film names its cinematographer. Transparency is part of the aesthetic, not a disclaimer.

09 / Image Direction

What to do.
What to kill.

A closed system of rules for image generation. Every image is judged against this list. The discipline is what makes the civilization feel inevitable.

Always

  • Human-centered atmosphere — people in spaces, never voids
  • Environmental continuity — architecture supports the subject
  • Cobalt or Iridescent atmospheric key lighting
  • Soft civilization signals — hospitality, ritual, transit, leisure
  • Restrained luxury — Aman vocabulary, not sci-fi spectacle
  • Spatial elegance — generous architectural negative space
  • Emotional stillness — quiet, inhabited, never frantic
  • Material realism — chrome, silk, stone, linen, water
  • Cinematic ambient lighting, never studio flash
  • 4:5 portrait, 16:9 environmental, or 1:1 square

Never

  • Aliens or alien iconography
  • Dystopian futurism or cyberpunk overload
  • Gaming aesthetics, UI overlays, hologram tropes
  • Aggressive sci-fi imagery, spaceships, robots
  • Marvel futurism — high gloss 3D render
  • Chaotic technology — wires, screens, panels
  • Overcrowded environments — clutter, density
  • Hyper-saturation or HDR processing
  • Dynamic or expressive fashion poses
  • Branded garments or recognizable public figures

Prompting framework

The base prompt structure for any Extra Celestial image:

Midjourney / Base Prompt [Human subject], [architectural / environmental context], [cobalt or iridescent atmospheric light], [material vocabulary], [emotional register: still, inhabited, restrained], cinematic luxury hospitality photography, restrained celestial atmosphere, medium format, ambient natural light, generous spatial negative space. --ar 4:5 --style raw --v 6

Example — Chapter 01 / The Cobalt Observatory

Midjourney / Cobalt Observatory 01 A wide architectural editorial photograph of a single woman standing inside a vast atmospheric arrival hall, polished chrome floor reflecting deep cobalt light, a curved chrome-framed window opening to a wide horizon visible at her shoulder. She wears soft cream linen layered with liquid silver silk. Hair slicked back. Cinematic ambient cobalt light, soft directional falloff from the window. The mood is restrained, aspirational, inhabited. Luxury hospitality campaign photography, medium format, generous negative space above. --ar 4:5 --style raw --v 6

Example — Chapter 03 / The Iridescent Pastoral

Midjourney / Iridescent Pastoral 02 A serene editorial photograph of a woman standing at the edge of an architectural reflecting pool at dawn, soft pastel iridescent sky, a white horse in the far distance at the edge of frame. She wears a soft glitter-dust silver gown that refracts pale lilac and peach. Wet hair. Cinematic ambient natural light, soft directional from upper left. Restrained, pastoral, inhabited. Wellness retreat campaign photography, medium format, 4:5 portrait, generous environmental negative space. --ar 4:5 --style raw --v 6
10 / Speculative Anchors

The civilization,
imagined twice.

Extra Celestial flexes across the lane by producing two speculative anchor projects — one hospitality-coded, one fashion-coded. Same brand system, two industries. The methodology proof is built into the case study.

Anchor 01 / Hospitality

Aman × Extra Celestial — The Orbital Retreat

A speculative brand film and editorial campaign for an Aman-coded orbital wellness retreat. Architectural restraint at celestial scale. The arrival hall, the spa, the pastoral courtyard. Three motion studies, ~12 seconds each. Locked camera. Single sustained ambient tone.

Anchor 02 / Fashion

Mugler × Extra Celestial — The Celestial Couturier

A speculative SS27 motion campaign reframed under the V2 thesis. Less synthetic-skin spectacle; more couture inhabited at cosmic scale. The figure crossing the chrome corridor. The figure dressing for the orbital event. Three motion studies, ~12 seconds each.

Why two anchors

One project tells you what Extra Celestial looks like. Two projects, in two different industries, tell you that Extra Celestial is a system. The hospitality anchor proves the brand flexes into Aman territory. The fashion anchor proves it still lives where it began — couture, cinematic, restrained. The lane is the proof.

11 / Surfaces

How the world
extends.

Extra Celestial applies across multiple surfaces. Each surface has its own register but answers to the same core system. The brand is a file you can run.

The system flexes across the lane

The Extra Celestial template spine — its seven-section structure, its two color modes, its discipline of inhabited restraint — extends across four industries: Fashion (Mugler anchor), Hospitality (Aman anchor + Estancia Cafetera), Wellness, and Travel. Same architecture; different brand modes loaded into the same system.

12 / Design Tokens

The brand,
machine-readable.

Extra Celestial is operable. The full token system lives at extra-celestial.json on GitHub. It powers this guideline, the Figma library, and any future application of the brand.
